On July 1, 2024, the IITA Center in Abomey-Calavi hosted a training workshop, organized by the Youth Initiative for Land in Africa (Yilaa). The workshop brought together 125 participants, made up of young farmers and women, eager to adopt environmentally friendly agricultural practices. For Innocent Antoine Houedji, coordinator of Yilaa, young people and women represent a big opportunity for the continent and in particular for Benin. This is why, he maintains, this training offers useful agricultural tools and practices in order to produce agriculture that respects agroecological standards
