Benin Stakeholder Engagement on Agroecology, Circular Economy and Climate Action
On June 12, 2024, the Youth Initiative for Land in Africa (YILAA) hosted a stakeholder engagement meeting in Abomey-Calavi, Benin. The session was designed to align key stakeholders on the objectives of a training workshop aimed at reducing short-lived climate pollutants in rice and maize production through agroecology practices and circular economy principles.

The meeting sought to secure commitment from various stakeholders, including government institutions, agricultural bodies, and civil society organizations, to support and scale sustainable agricultural practices aimed at mitigating methane and black carbon emissions.
